Peter Hayden

Filmmaker + Actor + Speaker + Naturalist

Peter Hayden is a highly talented drama and documentary storyteller, based in Dunedin, New Zealand. He is vastly experienced, focused and engaging … he captures and delights any audience.

"I have been privileged to tell great stories that celebrate the 'nature' and 'culture' of this country; I will continue to do it, and also, I will be doing my bit to promote a vibrant and sustainable future for us all."

Drama

He began acting while completing a BSc. This then led to drama school, theatre, film and TV roles. Though documentary film has dominated his career, he is an acclaimed actor in theatre, film and television.

Whatever the medium, he relishes the opportunity of working on great scripts with committed directors and actors. Best of all is the direct connect with a fully engaged audience… 'art doesn't get much better'.

Nature/Future

While he is committed to preserving our wild world, and has a strong interest in sustainability; Peter is drawn to ideas about the future… not just our own future, but the generations to come.

"Our planetary 'bus' is overcrowded, the fuel gauge near empty and we are approaching a rickety bridge of irreversible climate change… can we cross it?

Of course we can. We understand the problem and the science; we have the breadth of thinkers; the insight; there are even a few laughs. Growing numbers of people and industries are doing the right thing… one of them is my neighbour."

ENJOY YOUR DAY.  PETER
